Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo want extensions
Boston Celtics guards Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo have both stated that they would like to sign extensions with the Boston Celtics. Ray Allen said this a few weeks ago, and Rajon Rondo said this in the last few days. Team officials have been in talks, or will soon be in talks, with each player's agent to try to get an extension agreed upon.

Ray Allen might not get his extension, but Rondo will. Rondo is the future of the team.

Ray Allen may get a couple of years at the most but Rondo can get 5-6 years.

Ray Allen will have to take a major paycut (which I think he would) to remain in Boston...probably around $5-8 million per season...Rondo will want $10+ million per season, I'm sure, and he deserves it...I hope the Celtics are able to reach an agreement with both of them!

They will reach an agreement but 5-8 million a season is a lot of money.

I agree with whats been said.... Allen will indeed gladly take a pay cut to remain a Celtic.... After a few years of me not liking Rondo..... He gets his props from me!

It is, but it's cheap for a player of Ray-Ray's caliber...plus, if Varejao can get $10 million per, Ray-Ray can most certainly get $5-8 million per
