    Kessel OFFICIALY traded to Toronto

The drama surrounding Phil Kessel has finally come to an end as the Boston Bruins have traded their disgruntled sniper to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 1st and a 2nd round pick in 2010, and a 1st round pick in 2011 pending a trade call which is currently underway.

Kessel and the Maple Leafs then quickly agreed to terms on a new five-year, $27 million deal.

I'm not a leafs fan , but Burke gave you a solid and young player (21 year-old only ) , which will give a solid boost to your offense !

A steep payment (2 firsts and a second), but YESSSS!

I really love this more for Toronto.

Yeah but to me , who cares ? I mean , Kessel is only 21 and is already a very good top-6 forward. With those picks , could Boston draft a better player than Kessel ? Maybe , but i wouldn't bet on that !

At least they are getting a player entering their prime. For too many years they were getting players at the end of their career for high draft picks.

happy to have him but still seems a steep price to pay.

    Time will tell.

Is Kessel worth 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder? WOW
I know he is top 6 on any team but I think thats a little steep.....
Not like they are going to be in the top 10 in the league where those picks are bottom of the round.....I expect the 2010 pick to be up to 12th pick....

if kessel gets the leafs to the playoffs then it's a good deal for the leafs. if not, it's too much to give up. but you have to like burke being aggressive.
don't forget leafs fans, kessel won't suit up until November at the earliest.
