And whats to stop them from going power hungry like all them beforehand

If you want change, then you must change yourself and dare to actually try something new. If this candidate is even a shadow of a true Libertarian, a tiny reduction of Government, which IS the Libertarian philosophy, would seem like a major change since this Government has grown every year since 1776.

Good to see so many people agreeing with my sentiments. I expect to see you all vote for the Libertarian candidate and back up your words.

Most likely I will, but just as I'm not going to vote Rep just for the sake of voting Rep, I'm not going to vote Libertarian just for the sake of voting Libertarian. They have to give me a good candidate...although it shouldn't be hard to beat the Dem and Rep candidates, so like I said, most likely I will.

Ah, like John McCain, you mean. At least, that's what I once thought about him, until he showed what he was really like.

You always like to assume dont you...

Actually, I wasnt too thrilled with McCain. I liked him, but I felt there were better candidates.

We all have to realize that if Obama ran on the independent ticket, he still would have won. His victory was fan based. Look at how extreme, his fans are buying Chia Obama. Just like sheep, heading over the cliff.

Thats not true at all. The democrats used him and the media to get Democrat controll of all 3 branch of government. The media would not have promoted him if he wasnt the democrats stooge. If he was an independent, he would have no financial backing, no popularity, and if he started to get popular, they would have destroyed him. How do you think he got those fans?

I'm sad to say I've been moving more and more towards that way of thinking...but I'd prefer an oligarchy. A group of wise, experienced elders type of thing.

??? I'd prefer a democracy and capitalism where I have the power.

First, I said nothing of the economic system...capitalism is the only fair and successful way to go.

If everyone paid as much attention and were as knowledgable about the issues as you and I, I would 110% agree...or even half were. But the majority of America is dumb, ignorant...and their vote counts just as much as yours or mine and there are many, many more of them.

Don't get me wrong, Democracy is definitely the best option and I'm not spurning it by any means...but sometimes, when I see all the dummies, it makes me think it wouldn't be so bad if a small group of people who actually know something were in charge.
