    finest embossed

    can someone tell me what the difference between embossed finest cards and regular finest cards are ? i need 1997-98 iverson finest embossed cards and I dont know what to look for. thanks a lot.

    Mike:

    Where a regular card is flat on the surface, an embossed version of the regular card is textured....it sort of looks and feels like the picture of the person was pushed out from behind...raising it above the flat surface of the card. Conversely, the back of the card looks like the image was pushed in.

    I'm not sure i explained that very well, but I hope it helps. BTW, I have some Iverson's that I'll list for you later...I think a few are listed on my trader page. The link is in my signature line.

    well that does help but just one more question...does the embossed have the protective coating like the regular cards ?

    Mike:

    I have the base embossed and the refractor. Neither have the coating. It is possible that the coating was removed by the original owners, but unlikely.

    I'll get you the details on the Iverson cards I have soon.
