I'll wait a year or two for them to cool down in the secondary market. Paying an extra $300 per box for product hype isn't worth it to me. For those of you that do buy some, good luck on your breaks.

I was talking about singles on the secondary market, not the boxes. They will come down. They always do. The only exceptions are the MJ's and superstar RC's (Lebron, Wade, and Howard come to mind). Sorry if my earlier post wasn't clear.

its ok you did say secondary but i wasnt sure if you were refering to boxes or singles. i really want a case but im still unsure...anyone else thinking about getting any boxes or cases? only thing holding me back is i wanted to get a case of the triple threads or sterling baseball when they come out and i may not want to spend all my money on the EXQ.

Looks like Upper Deck played their cards perfectly, so that everyone would keep buying their products.

i've changed my opinion some since my first post. The 09-10 product does have some great cards in it, and high end collectors seem to be energized about the product release. isn't that one of the goals?
My biggest issue is that it's called a 09-10 product, yet it's lacking in a key area of high end... autographed rookies. Blake Griffin and Tyler Hansbrough, among other rookies, won't have any autos for this release. How did UD reach the decision to call it a 09-10 product? I still think they should have went with 08-09 Exquisite Final or Exquisite Encore.

because it wouldve killed the value of the 08-09 exquisite even more than 09-10 is.

i don't see how the decrease in value makes a difference. Either way there are more high end patches and autos on the market. I just remember the 80s when Topps would release their Traded set to show all the players in their new uniforms and the guys that called called up from the minors. I liked the idea.
i guess what i'm saying is that since the new standard for the high end RC is a patch/auto, this 09-10 release just doesn't measure up. I like the Jordan/Woods dual concept, but everything else looks similar to other years' releases.

That Tiger Jordan Patch Auto is sick, Sure that one will bring in a couple bucks when it hits the market.
