Hank Aaron TTM Success (PLZ HELP!)
Ok, I am aware of all the rumors surrounding Hank Aaron and TTM Successes but I would love to have more opinions. I sent to the Atlanta Braves, & received back in about a weeks time. It appears very legit to be at least signed, it has marker strokes, and does not look anything like a stamp or autopen. I am not going to pay to have it professionally authenticated, just looking for other collector's expertise on what they believe is real or fake and why. I attached the picture and truly do appreciate any and all comments on this (hopefully good) TTM success.

look at it this way hank charges a lot of $ for his auto at a signing.. so why would he sign for free TTM it would just kill the value of his sig... so i think they are ghost signed but thats just my two cents.....

I agre. But it's the same with Pete Rose. Why would you charge alot of money for your autograph and then sign for free. If you think that it is cool and feel that it is real then that is all that matters. I have acquired both ttm and I think they are great. But it is waht it is.I'm not gonna run out and try to sell them as the real thing. At least you get something back from them.

I do think that the Rose autos were real. He now charges for autos via mail, but less that his event price. We have thought that the Aaron autos were from his assistant for some time now. I do believe that the bigger the name the less likely it is real just due to the volume of mail some of these stars get!

On a number of board, for about the last week, I have noticed a bunch of people taken by the Aaron ttm. It just kind of sucks because people report them as successes without knowing and the legend of "OMG Hank Aaron signs ttm for free!" gets picked up by a few people and it continues the cycle.
I do think the Rose ones were legit as well because I think it got word out that Pete does that sort of things and creates a market that wasn't there a year or two ago.

For a while last year Hank was coming back stamped. I don't think my autos are really signed by him but rather a clubhouse attendant to keep up good relations since you are sending it to the team. Hank Aaron is one of the greatest ambassadors the game has, it would be a marketing waste if he didn't "sign."
I collect NY Yankees, NY Giants, NY Rangers, NY Knicks, and NJ Nets. I am willing to trade. PM me if you have any cards signed by players from these teams.
Working on collecting all living New York Giants (football) and New York Yankees. The question is which team drives me nuts first!!!

Again, when you go to shows your NOT paying Just the Players Price your also paying the PROMOTORS price as well. i cant believe how many collectors think the price at shows is what the PLAYER is charging for there autograph you couldnt be more wrong! ITS not its what the PROMOTOR is charging you to get the players autograph the PROMOTOR of the show then pays the player a fee for signing. I will not pay a promotor a dime to uptain an autograph from an athlete id rather pay the athlete directly or get them in person for free! i have gotten in one day killebrew, carew, molitor and YAZ all free yes big stars do sign for free! just because they may not sign TTM for free (that is something i do not understand, how these guys could sign for free in person but not TTM) i have also gotten the following hall of famers who either charge TTM or have been reported not to sign ttm at all gaylord perry, al kaline, Rickey henderson, Pete Rose, Tony Perez, Phil Niekro, Bill Maz, Carlton Fisk, Mike Schmidt, Johnny Bench, Reggie Jackson, Nolan Ryan, and Cal Ripken all Free in person again i dont know why they sign for free in person but charge TTM. but trust me when you go to a show Your paying Mostly the Promotor or they wouldnt be in business doing shows! i think The pete Roses are real from in person exprience with him i mean if he can sign for like 30 people for free im sure he could sign some TTM requests. now hank aaron is another story he is a tough sig to get in person i have seen and gotten him in person but you have to be in the right place at the right time (i guess that is how it is with any in person signature) so im 50/50 on the aaron signature i looks authentic and from my in person experience he does sign for free even if its a few at a time. it guys like Jim Rice or Eddie Murry who will only sign when you put $$$ infront of them yes i have had to uptain them like that but not through a promotor.
