another great thread, a thing some of you need to remember, if the seller a scammer, scammers sell a lot of fake patch cards, one after another, some scammers list a fake patch every week, sometimes more, you need to keep track of the scammers, report them to ebay and contact the buyer if you can, we need to take the hobby back from the scammers, people are leaving the hobby because of the scammers, remember beanie babies? once a very popular collectible, not anymore! because of the counterfeit beanie babies!!
counterfeit cards, fake patches, fake buybacks, the list goes on, when you find a fake patch AND the proof, remember to include the scammers user i.d., get a real name and address if you can, you can report them to the attorney general of their state
you could also make a video of the before and after cards then post it to youtube, be sure to show the scammers user name
we have to inform other collectors and take the hobby back from the scammers
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Clowns like these will eventually force to card companies to put a tamper proof plastic coating over the patches or something.

Mikita fake patch on e-bay
Here is a fake mikita patch card on the bay right now. From Topps Archives.
http://cgi.ebay.com/2001-02-Topps-Ar...item564420c9e6
My proof......
1) Archives didn't make patch cards.
2) The card is so damaged from faking the patch, it's almost funny.

I don't get it. Were these cards not signed and numbered or something?

Patch looks fake, and the rest of the card is identical to the /35 patch version (not signed)...

Nevermind my previously indicated point, a closer look does show how it could be considered fake.
