I wish the companies would go back and serial # all the big hits .. and then have a data base of those hits on their site with a scan of the actual card. Just like going to PSA/DNA or JSA with a cert. verification!

It would be great for collectors, but I doubt the companies, or I guess UD now, really care what happens to the cards once they hit the secondary market. It would cost them money to create and maintain a database, which I'm sure they're not interested in doing. Plus, what would happen in a case like Panini's? They no longer produce hockey cards but would need to maintain a webpage with this info? Again, I like the idea, but I doubt they do.

interesting...so he is taking base cards, cutting custom windows, stuffing with pieces, and selling them for what they are...his 'artwork'...I am sure there are copyright, trademark infringement business going on here, but he has certainly sold a handful...which is the problem....profiting from it. As opposed to just a fun thing to do.

Hmmm...I don't know if there is a copyright issue with this or not. I mean, you can buy a car from the dealership, make any custom modifications you want and then resell it. No problems there. I'm not too sure. Hey, at least it's clearly listed as "custom".

Except, there is a licensing agreement involved in addition to the use of a trademark copyright issue.
I trade by BV so please don't reference EBAY.
