You know whats so sad, Gretzky was the only thing this team had going for it, Turris is sent down again, If its to be a young team, Turris should have stayed up and suffered with the rest of the team, it seems they had a Weasel in waiting in Dave Tippett, unless the team is moved, they will loose millions every year, just maybe the Gary Bettman should open his eyes and say, it should be moved to Canada, because the Cdn teams are keeping about 5 or 6 other teams in the NHL, from going under too, there supporting them big time, but do I know, I'm just a fan too.
Just my 2 cents.

One last comment, Gretzky, gave this team an idenity.

1) Bettman is an absolute jerk with his own agenda and does nothing but hurt the game of hockey and the NHL.
2) Tannie is bang on when she says Gretzky was so highly paid because they owed and still owe him on investment cash as a minority owner.
3) Hockey never stood a chance in Arizona.
4) Move the team to Vegas or KC! Come on...............

not sure what the attendance records would show for the Jets and Nordiques days but I think they would rival Panthers, Thrashers, Predators

Bring em back....put one in Regina.....let's have a northern division of all Cdn teams

It absolutely stood a chance but they never drafted, traded or signed for any marquee player that would make it exciting or a winning product on the ice. But that goes for any team for any sport. If there is a team that doesn't really have a chance to even get to the Playoffs people won't show up like the successful teams. But Phoenix still did have support and hardcore fans. Lets not forget just 2 seasons ago Phoenix had better average attendance than teams like Boston and New Jersey
