    Help with masterpieces collecting?

I've come to a point I'm not sure how to continue. I'm doing the Brushstrokes auto set, all 4 colors. There's 81 in each set, totalling 324 autos to go after. So far, I got about 16 brown, 4 blue, 5 green, 3 red (+ 1 blue and 1 red incoming). I'm very proud of all of them, but looking at it now, it seems impossible, with my pc budget anyway.

In five months I've done 3 boxbreaks, laid down about $400 cash on single cards, and hundreds of BV in trades, for only this:

Sure, I got three big ones, Gretzky, Bowman SP, and Lafleur blue, but I got tons of "big ones" left! And by each month it seems harder cause there's plenty of others doing these sets too. Practical thinking: I'll cut down to one or two sets. Which ones should I take? I find the Brown a little boring, and blue too. I'd prefer to pick the red one, but that will be a huge challenge (imagine what a Gretzky red would cost, if it ever turns up!). What should I do????? I don't want to give up. Could I mix them? Like, doing the red set and mix that with greens/blue/brown if necessary? Something in me cringes at that thought.

If budget is an issue, either proceed slowly, or reduce the scope of your aspirations.

But proceeding is a problem I never had thought about. I also figured this could take a few years and it'd be ok. BUT, with the past months I've realised some brushstrokes gets harder and harder to get by, by the week!! I can only image what it's like in... say two years. It's shocking. What is more shocking, and I'm red-faced and angry right now, is that I just discovered while putting away the autos from photographing them: Tretiak is a sticker auto. A sticker!!! Why?????????? Isn't this whole set supposed to be hardsigned?? Very upsetting!!!!

That is upsetting. I wonder why on earth they did that?!
I would either cut down to one or two sets, or else do it very slowly and hope for the best!

Yeah, you can see the sticker, from way over here!

I say, have some patience, the costs may be high right now,
but usually it wears off, and if you keep looking, the ones you need
will fall into place, they always do.

    They all look great.

Maybe you should try to do only the brown or the one color

Maybe try one of each no matter what color they have or do just one color.

I wanted to do the Habs Ink last spring and I had to stop trying since prices were driving up way too fast. I got 42 out of 65 for a current BV of over 1,200$. I would have needed many more thousands of dollars just to try to make it happen. Sometime a goal is just not realistic to collect.

I hear ya, I am trying to do the brown autos and the last few are just not showing up anywhere. By the way if interested in getting rid of the Gretz and the Bowman I can help your financial situation...... :)

Might be a good idea, picking one of each no matter what color. Preferably red, and then green, blue, brown. I know Luke, it's a bit crazy, cause all the nice sets are proving to be too difficult. I thought this one would be realistic compared to dreamy sets like Limited Logos I've tried in vain before. Guess you have to have a fat wallet these days.

Well Chevelle... I actually put out Gretzky on ebay tonight and got a high dollar offer right away. Pm coming.
