    Exclamation 1997-98 donruss studio question

at my target a while back they had 1997-1998 donruss studio boxes. i noticed them real quick as i left and never really thought about them until seeing one on ebay just now. my question is, do they contain cards and an 8x10 box topper. or are they all 8x10's. has any bought these and are they worth picking up? the prices seem pretty reasonable i think ti was like 10 bucks for a box online. any info?

I think you can get these for under $15 a box. each "pack" contains cards and an 8x10. There are signed and parallel 8x10s to be found...

    See frozeninfernocollectibles's Items on eBay

The hobby boxes have two 8x10s I believe, and retail contains one.

This is a classic set for me. The first hobby pack I ever bought and I pulled a regular Messier Silhouette /1500, virtually worthless now (and back then) but was still my favorite card for a long time. The memories :P

Funny this comes up--I just broke a box of this the other day. I just haven't gotten around to posting the results. As others have said--the cards come in a folder sized envelope. Inside are 2 8x10 cards and a pack of 5 regular sized cards. There are 36 regular 8x10s in a set and I did not get any doubles. However, I did get two Silhouette parallels. They are red (or a different color depending on level) and instead of picture, there are holes in the stock to show their face.

The regular cards aren't too bad--typical for the time and I got 2 hard hats

and 3 press proofs--they can come in different levels--mine were /1000

Needless to say, they aren't anything amazing, but I had never seen them before and they are different, to say the least. And you can pull Gretzky, Roy, Jagr and others from that time. And some of the pictures are hilarious, Jagr with a fluffy mullet and Hasek with a Glamour Shots pose. I highly recommend it for 11 bucks.
