Habs Forward Lines Set For Opening Night
I gleaned this from Pat Hickey's article in today's Montreal Gazette.
Gionta-Gomez-Pacioretty
Cammalleri-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Latendresse-Lapierre-D'Agostini
Laraque-Metropolit-Moen
13th Forward: Chipchura/Stewart/Maxwell
Note on the 13th: Chipchura is hurt, Stewart may be necessary if Laraque is still hurt, and Maxwell could serve as an extra centre if they deem it appropriate to rotate him with Metropolit. So it more than likely comes down to Stewart or Maxwell.
On defence, only Spacek-Markov is a confirmed line. Markov will be on the right side this year, which should be an interesting change. The other two defence pairings are still up in the air because of the rather impressive training camp for Ryan O'Byrne. Martin & co. still haven't decided whether to put him in the top 6 or use him as the 7th d-man, and that's also creating a roster dilemma for Yannick Weber.
Carey Price in goal.
Discuss.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

1st line for Pacioretty eh? The kid must be over the moon...good luck to him!
Any word on who is getting the C yet?
ESPN America will be showing the Toronto Montreal game live on Thursday, I sense a late night coming up LOL

I believe the C will be assigned during this little trip to the Teen Ranch in Caledon. Most in the know are saying it's down to Gionta or Gomez. The little guy in the white jersey below is hoping for Gionta so he can get a C written on his jersey.

In case you're curious as to just how demented I am, that's Hairy Price, Capital G (for Gionta), and Pacho.

The first one, the last one, and every one in between...though probably only the first period for the west coast trip because the doctor says I have to be in bed before midnight or else I go crazy.
Dergula, is that the famous Jysk display case? Looks like mine, except with worse stuff inside. LOL

If we do put Cammy on the first line, we have one awesome attacking line but the second one lacks punch...hopefully these combos work, quite looking forward to seeing them in action!

I like Cammy - He is small but he can shoot......we always joked about the way he shoots.....sometimes it looks like he is shooting with one knee on the ground...but the shot is still solid!!!

Gionta does that one-knee thing a lot too. It's a bit unorthodox but it clearly works!
GO HABS GO!
