CHIT-CHAT FF: Week 3 Wrap Up

Posted a new poll on the league site.

Still some players having huge weeks, but the match up scores are starting to be a little more even. Perhaps that's because 7 starters posted a fat zero this week, with several more at 1 and 2. The only match up where neither team took home a share of the Worst Start of the Week trophy was the 'Horns/Pillagers. I'm not sure if we have enough trophy to go around! Only three teams scored above 80 this week, unfortunately for That Thing, two of them happened to be playing each other. Couple of big injuries this week too...namely the Blunts only apparent source of points, Frank Gore, went down for a few weeks...at least Red is praying it's only a few weeks.

    Recap of the Match ups

That Thing @ Novacaine - That Thing posted a 108, the third most points in the league on Week 3. Unfortunately for them, Novacaine's players shook off the rust from last week and every player but one posted double digit points for the 137-108 win. Finally, the team that has scored the second most points in the league this year gets a win! Westbrook gets That Thing the first spot of the Worst Start of the Week trophy (don't worry, you're not alone) and Santana Moss of all people brings home the weekly position award for Novacaine.

The 'Horns @ The Pope's Pillagers - This was one of two games decided by only 4 points this week. The match up came down to Felix Jones v. Steve Smith on Monday night...too bad for the Pope Steve Smith has Delhomo throwing to him and the 'Horns move to 2-1. If the Pope could just start 4 QBs, he'd have a shot...his 4 QBs posted 15 points or more each this week, which helped earn him his 2nd consecutive Bench of the Week trophy w/89 bench points. And after we all gave him crap for starting Campbell over Rivers last week, if he'd done that this week he would have won...

Hellbillies @ Stratusfaction - LA was down 72-58 going into MNF, but even though neither Romo or DeAngelo scored a TD, they got him enough points to squeak by the Hellbillies. Texas had a lot of under performers this week, with only one player posting more than 10 points...and it wasn't Peterson! Stratus gets a share of the Worst Start of the Week w/TO.

    • PABS!!! @ Blunts - Not pretty, not pretty at all. MJD finally has a huge game for • PABS!!!, leading solid performances all around. Philly, on the other hand, had players post 2, 1, two 0s, and a -1. In fact, only 4 players scored more than 2. That kind of outstanding play will get you the Loss of the Week trophy and a share in the Worst Start of the Week trophy for Ginn and Gore (I know he was injured, but Ash got it for Gonzo when he got hurt too...only being fair).

TRUCKER EFFECT!! @ Victors - The 2-0 team everyone gave the most props to made the same mistake I did in another league and left Pierre Thomas on the bench. It earned me a loss and it earns the TRUCKER EFFECT!! a loss. Two more additions to the Worst Start of the Week trophy: Derrick Ward for the Effect and Dwayne Bowe for the Victors.

Dwarves @ Ramrod - The other 4 point game of the week. The Dwarves pick exactly the right players to start, leaving only 11 points between 9 players on the bench (of course when you have guys like Maurice Stovall, Heath Evans, and Justin Forsett, no wonder), and takes down Team Ramrod. Somehow, the team w/Maurice Stovall, Heath Evans, and Justin Forsett is now 3-0...he's doing something right! Michael Clayton is the last addition to the 7 players on the Worst Start of the Week award.

Ahhh gotcha. Yeah...I, like you, had faith that LT would return to close to old form at least...guess we were wrong so far.

So are you toning down the trash talking now that you're 1-2 and up against the Holy Rollers this week? 1-3 isn't a good lesson plan Teach!

I didn't have my first two picks, and still won. Hmmm, won without my round 1 and round 2 picks.
