Joe Johnson rejects contract extension offer
I saw on another site that Joe Johnson rejected a contract extension offer from the Atlanta Hawks for 4 years and $60 million. He is due to become a free agent next summer. Will he really be able to get more than that next year, with the likes of Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Pierce and Amare being free agents? The only way I could see him getting more than that is if those players all stay with their current teams.

He is a good player but not a great player. Plus, with LJ and the other guys as free agents it's gonna be hard for him to get a lot of money.

If he waits it out long enough he may get on a better team for about the same money. As there are alot of teams saving money for next years crop and there are bound to be a few left out in the cold.

I don't think the Hawks are exactly a bad team...they took the Celtics to 7 games in the playoffs 2 years ago, and last season, beat the Heat in 7, and lost to the Cavs in 5, I believe...they aren't a contender right now, but they could be in a year or 2, with one more decent player, IMO.

He's coming to the Lakers!!!!!
Well maybe he feels that he can't win a championship with the Hawks and he might try his luck with a contending team for less money... But who knows.

And Kobe's leaving...because JJ would be the starter...lol
What's SMH stand for?
And no, he'll go to Boston to become the starter over Ray Allen, who'll come off the bench. :-)

Yep, because neither Gasol nor Bynum could lead a team
