well i can tell you you are wrong... you dont even know what you are saying. I drive a ford, buy american where i can, and support everything about america... fact of the matter is though if you raise corporate taxes which obama wants to do jobs are going to move out of the country... i know you dont understand that but it is true... i would go into more detail but it is pretty much pointless....

the reasons jobs go overseas is for coporate greed. Cheap labor and Slap on the wrist consequences. No marals whatsoever. Also we are required to buy their labor and goods in exchange for debts we owe them like China for example. they buy off our debt and in return we give them jobs. We are pretty passive letting our government just sell us out like that. The way we are spending money right now doesnt help our global financial interests either.

You know i am so upset about that.I makes me so made to hear people applaude when Chicago got elimanated in the first round.Wow you know all the bumy people from these other countries can come over here and florish take Americans jobs and they have the nerve to think we are not worthy of having OLY's here that is just crap.
Yes I think it hurt Obama I think it was one of his job creations.
I wouldnt blame Bush but I would blam replubicans there only answer is NO and why do they say NO because there not making any money or they are worried about how much it cost.It is strange that write before he went over there to Chicago the news was flooded with how bad Chicago is what a bunch of crap.
Personally I think USA is in seriuos trouble and I think Republicans would sell us to China for a million dollars.

The original point raised by this thread is laughable at best. The President of the United States lobbied to get the Olympics in his own country? What a shocker, why would he ever do that?
And now that the Olympics have been rewarded to a city in a continent that has never seen the Olympics means big trouble for Obama? Give me a break. America has already hosted the Summer Games 4 times, and the Winter Games 4 times as well. While it would have been a nice luxury, the IOC made the right decision. To think this would do any harm to Obama is just silly.
The Olympics are supposed to be the biggest international sporting event in the world. I'm glad to see some other parts of the world are finally getting the chance to experience it first hand as well they should.

The President spent months apoligizing for how horrible America is and talking about how bad we are, why the heck would the IOC put the Olympics in America? How much sense would it make to award the Olympics to a nation that its own president has to take a tour around the world telling other nation's leaders how bad his nation is? Not much at all.
I dont mind that he tried to get the Olympics in America, not sure Chicago is the best option though. But now that this is over, lets see if his priorities straighten out a bit.

It is funny how Obama supporters don't even read the intent of the thread.
I posted this:

Obama supporters are so blind that they read it as this:
"Ha! Ha! Chicago didn't get the Olympics. Obama is an Idiot and I'm glad he failed!"
The intent of this thread was to ask, "Did Obama lose some political capital by putting his name on the line?"
It is obvious that if Chicago got the Olympics it would be a political success for Obama. But since Chicago finished last it can only hurt his political image.
I honestly hoped Chicago got the bid because it would be good economically for the city. It is a shame that people re-write the title of some threads to find a reason to bash the poster and not talk to the actual subject of the thread!

His politicol image does hurt us as a nation. He is hurting us as a nation. The joy that people are feeling is validation. Thank god the rest of the world sees the truth. They dont have the media filter that America has. Its not that we didnt get the olympics. Its that we were the first eliminated. It sent a clear message that the rest of the world is tired of Obamas Arrogance. The fake *** speech that Michelle obama gave. She said she remembered sitting on her daddy's knee and watching carl lewis run in the olympics when she was a little girl. That was the 1980s. how many women do you know that sit in their Dad's lap that are in their late 20s??? the arrogant confidence that obama's presence would guarantee us the olympics. I'm starting to understand that this is just normal politics for the Obamas and that they really do beleive this crap that the media spins. They actually beleived that speaking to the Olympic board would get Chicago the olympics. Obama actually thinks that he is the savior. People arent jumping for joy about us not getting the Olympics. People are happy because maybe the mask is starting to come off. People are hopeful because the Fraud that is Obama is starting to be exposed. By Fraud, I mean the whole thing, not necesarily him, but the entire rise of this Obama mania and the many people behind it. It has taken on a life of its own and it must be brought back down to earth. Nothing is getting done. There is no honest debate on anything and our country is falling apart on multiple levels. The stimulus has been exposed as a complete lie and failure. If america starts holding his feet to the fire, perhaps the media will catch on and we can get most of that money back. Most of the "stimulus" money that we so desperately needed without debate has not been spent yet. Hell, regardless of politics, the left should be demanding the stimulus money back. It was BS, put that toward Healthcare. I dont think anybody would complain about that......Anyway, It would be a miracle if losing the olympics was the worst consequence of Obama.
