Remember that just a few centuries ago scientists claimed the world was flat and you could have been killed for arguing otherwise. I am not going to say global warming exists or doesn't but we cannot ignore the fact that this planet is in deep trouble and the general public doesn't care enough to want to do anything. We are poisoning it, we cant argue that. We are addicted to outdated technology, that also cannot be argued. We live in a society where we are so ignorant thats its almost laughable

"-Is Venus a planet? yes
-Is carbon dioxide a chemical compound? yes
-Is Venus' atomsphere 97% carbon dioxide? roughly, yes
-Does carbon dioxide trap heat? yes
-Is the surface temperature of Venus around 900 degress F? yes
-What do cars and factories admit in mass quantities on this planet? CO2"
You have already conceded to me. The logic conclusion of my series of questions is CO2 warms atmospheres. We are pumping it out. We are warming the atmosphere. Deny this if you want. Others will see the illogic in your argument. Only those who are not open to learning and agree with you will think you have anything valid to say on this topic. If I know more than you on a topic, I will point out your ignorance. When the information does not fit your world view, I will point out your misdirect . Good luck OPT. You some misdirection technique now. I see it coming. Pull out some minority article that does not go with the mountain of evidence we have for global warming. We even have a very similar planet you are ignoring.

Go ahead and use the Mars and Venus comparison again. I loved the blanant ignorance you displayed in this argument. It was quite funny.

drtom- the only thing you have established in your posts here, is that apparently, because of whatever education you have, you are smarter than everyone else on every topic. I would love to know how you managed to major in every subject in college.
on the subject at hand, you are ignoring the large number of scientists you are opposed to the idea of man made global warming. since they don't fit your point, all 10,000+ of them are apparently dumber than you, just like you think everyone else is.

Well some people seek the truth and others deny. The truth always comes out if you look for it. I like researching topics. Many on this site do not. I read books and scientific data. If I do not not know something, I admit it unlike most unreasonable people. So your point is invalid.

Just curious on how this Planet got into the shape it is. Was there a race of people on there who destroyed it, or did it just happen.
I think, strike that, I know that the Earth goes through natural cycles hence the Ice Ages and the thaws of the past.
Do I think that mankind is helping to advance it sure, but I also believe that it will happen with or without us.

Without us the water would be drinkable straight from the source, the earth would not be full of toxins leaked from companies dumping toxins where ever they liked, fish would not be full of lead and mercury... The list goes on you cannot blame everything on the sun and earth cycles

As I siad I do think mankind is helping to advance things, but I can also admit that these cycles have happened in the past with or without us.
