Anyone know why UD ditched Premier?
I know they've inserted some of the old Premier card concepts (Manufactured Patches, the jersey/autos) as chase cards in regular UD, but why would they ditch one of their successes last year. Does anyone know something I don't? All I saw last year, and even continue to see, are UD Premier football breaks on YouTube. I bought it and loved it, it always seemed like you could at least get one great card in every box. Anyone know anything about it?

Seeing as that they've inserted many of the Premier designs and concepts into base Upper Deck, and that there has been no mention of Premier being released from Upper Deck (and to my recollection, it's been a Late October-November release in years past); I can only presume that they will not be doing it this year. It seems more like they merged base UD w/ Premier.

They added Black to their lineup this year. Maybe they had to sacrifice a product.

NFL only allows so many products per year.... Black takes its place... plus, a lot of dealers/distributors were upset b/c they got stuck with so much of the product last year and had to discount the packs BIG time... with the economy the way it is... probably figured a 235 pack wouldnt sell quick.
