    card production numbers....

soooo, i was thinking about how many cards are produced of a certain product. lets say, sp game used. how many cases, boxes, base cards? how limited if at all are some of the base cards. the new topps and upperdeck, how many base cards of one player do you think are made. 10,000, 100,000, more less...just thinking.

they don't normally release this information to the public. The only exception would be very high end and limited edition sets. Sometimes a disgruntled former employee or an insider would leak numbers, but it would never be confirmed. One example is the 87 Fleer set. It was rumored that this product was more limited than the famous 86 Fleer set. It's never been confirmed by Fleer, though. I remember several years ago Stadium Club had their "1st Day Issue" parallels. They were limited to something like 20,000. That's just in one day. Imagine the number of cards produced in a month.
