I've been trying to get these two sets completed:

2008-09 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor RCs /50 (about 2/3 of way there, but missing some big names)

I have been after these for about 3 months. Mainly have been buying from ebay, but also from members on the boards, particularly for the UD Black /30 set.

only one auto per box on average

i am only missing 1 gu

and have 13 of the 30 autos in the set

even though there are only 30 autos they come but 1 to a case and half of them are SP
so you always see the same ones

i believe that these are some of the most rare autos so it has not been a treat trying to finish this set

I love those UD Black cards, but I don't think I can take a collection like that on. I was thinking about the UD Premier ones and/or SP Rookie Thread Acetate ones.

lostones - thanks for the comment. I really like the look of the set. I actually have 2-3 more on the way, so its very slowly coming together...

Here is my bowman 48 auto set. It took me about a month or so to complete it. I pulled a lot of these, traded for some, and then bought some of them. I was very happy to complete it. I also have the blue sp complete set.
