It is amazing how sometimes mail takes extra long to reach it's destination in a short distance and sometimes faster to a longer distance.....
could be just some slow postal workers or maybe is got "misplaced"

UPDATE!
Just got off the phone with a Postal Worker from the main office in our town (Jackson Michigan).
She had called yesterday and left a message on our home phone that she had information for me on the package.
She showed it was scheduled to be delivered yesterday (Thursday). She was quite surprised when I told her it was delivered to me on Wednesday.
I just love how the Postal Service has a "little ol' grandma baking chocolate chip cookies" type call you ...knowing you will not vent on her!
Just wanted to share this update and let you know that the Postal Service DOES care....now if they would only find the other missing packages I am waiting for.

I remember being shocked when I first started trading on here, and a package came from Arizona in 2 days, and one came from North Dakota in 5 days, both being bubble mailers - I live in Minnesota.
Now it seems like a common occurence...I'm not even surprised when anything takes 7-10 days for something to arrive, even though it is kind of annoying.

I live in WI
I have had no problems with the PO lately. I had something from CA shipped 10-06 arrive today. I had something from IL shipped 10-07 and arrive today. I think a big issue is if there is something priority/express mailed out. They may mail out any similar destination packages out right away to travel with that express mail package.
I have had problems in the past though. Birthday cards from central WI that are supposed to go northern WI have been routed all the way to LA and one even made it to Alaska and back when it should have never left the state.
The other thing to keep in mind with DC is to watch your sorting center. We have one in Oak Creek that is just phenomenal. I know with absolute certainty that 90% of the packages ship the next day and will certainly make destination two shipping days after arrival in Oak creek. And when I try to explain this to somebody behind the counter they have NO idea. Trying to tell me that it should scan for acceptance and arrival with no tracking in between.

Well there's your problem! People forget about you guys. Just like Atlantis, people forget it! lol. just kidding bud.
That's an interesting story, albeit a sadly humorous one.
I haven't had too many troubles with the postal service (knock on wood). Though it did take two weeks (arrived 14 days after the postmark) to get a letter from Missouri to Montana once.
