Doesn't anyone collect..................
Doesn't anyone collect plain old BASE rookies anymore??
With-out it being GU, AUTO'D or dripping with gold and diamonds and numbered to the only one on earth?
It makes me wonder what this hobby is coming to......and were it's headed.....
Just my 2 Lincolns.

I collect plain ol' rookie cards too. And this actually seems to branch off another post asking a similar question about Sage and Press Pass too. I like them all! Like the card makers and like the low-end stuff as well. Easy to obtain for the poor like myself! As long as they produce Seahawks on a card, I'm trying to get them!

Plenty of people collect base.
However the majority is going to go to where the money is. There is no money in base.

I'm a big fan of the low end brand rc's. I usually go after Topps Kick Off, UD First Edition, and Score.

Collect what you want to collect. Who cares what other people want to collect? Many people are into base cards of their player or team. Too many people are worried about trying to make money off of what should be considered a hobby.

Just because some is into GU or autos doesn’t necessarily mean that they are just trying to make money. With the emergence of the internet (specifically sites like SCF and ebay), base cards are a dime a dozen.
