Obamas BLACK Newsletter.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/michae...y.html?showall
This is very post-racial. I thought Obama said we were all just Americans. I can only imagine George Bush sending out a White newsletter.

The truth is there is a Black America. Go to Milwaukee's Northside. I guarnetee it is 99.9% Black community. For a hundred city blocks straight I bet you hundred dollars you cant point out more than 10-15 white people. I will also tell you that once you go over the bridge it is a warzone, Poverty is the worst in the city, crime is the worst in the city. I dont think Obama needs to address the black community but to them he is portrayed as a super hero so it cant hurt. I think the city and state need to do a better job to reach the black community.

This is the president. The White House. They arent talking about local neighborhoods. They are also not talking about what you are talking about. This isnt a clean up your act newsletter. Are all black people in America criminals that live in a warZone? NO. That would be racist. You can say that all the people that live in that warzone are black, because they are. Those are facts. thats a big difference. This couldnt address anything like that without being racist. You cant ask every black person in America to take responsibility for the crime in Chicago. Thats racist. Ultimately. Glenn Beck was right. it bothers me to say that, but he was. You cant have a National newsletter to America's Black population without being racist. Obama is openly acknowledging that he treats people differently based on the color of their skin. This is pretty much the ultimate form of racism. Its on a general level. He is saying that all black people are different from everyone else.

The truth is that there is a White America too. My home town has about 98% whites. The remaining 2% is a mix of blacks and Latinos, so the black population only comprises about 1.2%. Does that make it OK to issue a "White Newsletter"? No.
Also, this newsletter is not intended for the black community. It is to appease the black and Latino run media outlets and try to keep him in good graces with his voting audience. I would be willing to bet that same $100 that not one of his "newsletters" will address inner-city issues.

People who send out newsletters with the interest of "White" America are called racists.
Did not Mr Obama say in a speach there is No Black America and No White America but 1 United States of America?
Also this is really a non story with other things that are going on with our country now. But if people do not understand there is a double standard they have issues.

I guess the White House should add itself to that list of Left-Wing domestic terror groups.

99.9% of all people are racist in that they treat others different based on the color of their skin. Everyone is racist in that they see their own race as "us" and all other races as "them." And it's not just in regard to race that people do that, it's in regard to every characteristic they have. But this is bordering on lunacy. If I was walking down the street and said "Hey, how's it goin'?" to a couple of black guys who were just standing around, would you call that racist? I mean, I'd be singling them out for special treatment (receiving a casual greeting), wouldn't I? Would you demand that I then offer the same casual greeting to a white guy and call me a domestic terrorist if I didn't?
I'm getting really sick of all the obsessing over racism that goes on here. I see the same thing Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are doing lurking right under the surface.

This is a double-standard if I've ever seen one. If you want to see a mix of races go to New Orleans. Whites, Blacks, Latinos, etc. all living together. Granted, there are some white, black, and Latino communities; but there is always a few people of different ethnicity in a neighborhood. I'm not going to say that there is not racism because there is. People will naturally look at others differently because of race. This is the same case as the Black Entertainment Television channel (BET) and all the Spanish channels that we have in New Orleans. Still, it is a little disturbing though that Obama claims that we are all one people, but at the same time he will issue a newsletter to one type of race, his race.
