How does this multiplier work?
I was looking through my Beckett book and saw that the 06-07 Hot Prospects Red Hot rookie parallels /25 have a multiplier of 1.5X-3X. Does that mean that a 30 bv card would be 45-90, 40 bv would be 60-120, etc.? Or is that completely off? Seems a bit high for a parallel to me.

That about sums it up. Generally rookie parallels don't command a premium over the "true RC" but in some cases they can go for higher simply based on print run, quality of the set, etc. Whereas in SPGU the parallels don't go for more than the true RC (except for maybe the /10 and 1/1) with a set like The Cup a player with a /249 RC can have a Gold Rainbow parallel /6 which will drive up the value on the parallel simply due to the scarcity.
That said, I'm a little bit surprised that the premium is set that high on Hot Prospects. They're all auto patches.
