Despite the current record, this road trip may be where we get a better picture. Usually benches, as a whole, play better at home. Lakers have had a very favorable schedule to start the season (as per Gasol). With Kobe struggling a bit with injuries, this is where benches show their value.

Lakers squeaked out a victory..... The first 42 mins of the game was close the entire time.
Gasol needs to step up his game, i'm tired of watching him play soft. It showed yesterday against the Cavs.
But its good to bounce back from a tough loss. 1-1 on the road trip so far... Toronto on Sunday

Great win for Lakers tonight, but I hope they don't relax too much because we still have a very tough game tomorrow in Memphis. On that note, Lakers fans, let's all say an extra prayer for Bynum tonight, and hope that arrives to LA safe and healthy!
In fact, I kinda hope Bynum will sit out this game and take an earlly flight to LA!

No injury will slow us down! Lakers are 2-0 without Kobe.
Plus Bynum was out as well for this game.

Another win that I'm really proud of. Again, just a total team effort lead by Odom and Gasol. I hope this experience of playing without Kobe will help the Lakers in the long run.

Awesome couple of wins by the Lakers. I'm happy to see them playing well as a team. Hopefully we can get a healthy Kobe and Bynum back after the All-Star Break.

4-0 w/o Kobe "Black Mamba" Bryant
pretty good, because i remember being told that the Lakers would struggle if "their main man" ever sat out. I guess they were wrong
