Gem cards boxes
Today I saw some boxes called NHL Gem Cards or something like that at some store. On the box, it says it contains 2 graded cards per box (graded 9 or 10 cards only). On the box, we can see photos of cards like Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby's RC, and more. Cards can be anything from the 80s, 90s or 2000s. It costs like 25$can per box. I wonder if anyone has ever bought any of these boxes or similar packs and if they are worth buying. Also, what kind of cards/players do we usually get? Are we talking about big names like Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, Ovechkin, Jagr, Roy, Brodeur, etc? Or it's completely at random?
Thanks.

honestly, save your money, the chances on getting a high end rookie is next to impossable, most of these have a UD rookie class card or a sidney crosby diary of a phenom card, some also come with packs of cards from the past 10 years,
I saw some of those on the shelf at wallmart and they were already opened and all that was inside was a jeff carter rookie class and I think a crosby diary card and a few packs of retail from Donruss, pinnacle, UD, fleer.

These are from a company FAIRFIELD (US) - or a company similar in Canada
Here, they put in PROSET packs....usually a rip-off

Thanks for the infos.
But I just want to make sure that we're talking about the same thing.
I'm talking about a box that contains 2 graded cards, I can hear them when I shake the box. I know these kind of stores "walmart, zellers, cost-co or whatever" sell some boxes/packs where we can see packs of pro-sets, 90s fleer ultra, and packs not worth buying through the plastic, but I'm talking about the NHL Gem Cards that containts 2 graded cards.

yes I know the ones your talking about the gem is a hologram foil thing and it is a huge rip off, gettin a gretzky rookie or a crosby auto is like trying to win 649, and they are way overpriced, should be the most $15 a box, I think zellers and wallmart had them for $29.99 and $34.99. I belive most crosby graded ones from these boxes(and there all rookie class or diary cards) only sell for around $10 on the bay. I'd buy some blasters of OPC or Black Diamond in stead.

I was just stating that the same company who does this also does the 15 pack lots and such...which have the PROSET in them...

Yeah the graded cards can be real crap. My sister works at Wal-Mart and she brought me some stuff from boxes that were opened and left on the shelves. Got store manager's ok as they were to be thrown in the garbage anyway.
Crosby Phenomenal Beginnings (boxed set) card , Messier Crash the Game contest card, Brian Leetch 1990-91 Score card?
So pretty much junk cards.

My gf bought me a box of "2 Graded Cards" about two weeks back. Pulled a worthless Crosby (graded 9) and a 1991 Score Wayne Gretzky Season Highlight card. BV 40 cents. But it graded a 10, so maybe I can get a dollar for it. LOL

Actually not all boxes of Gems of the Game are junk. My bro bought me one for last Christmas, and I pulled this:

I stored the unopened pack in a Sweet Shot tin, and kept it there ever since.
Pic of the box:
