    COAs

Just wondering what is involved with COAs. I have a ton of stuff I got signed IP. Am I able to do a COA? Not sure what the process is.

You can get it authenticated through a service like PSA/DNA. If it's legit and you send them their fee they will give you their COA with a registration number. That number will correspond with a number on a sticker they will place on your item. Each item they authenticate gets injected with their special DNA stuff for permanent mark.

Read the FINE PRINT esepcially if its one that you didnt get in person if they say an autograph is authentic i its found to not be authentic THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR FEE you pay them to authenticate the item. your really just paying for someones opnion IF you got the autograph in person i would just Make your OWN COA because TECHINCALLY Speaking a COA is only worth the paper its printed on and that goes For all the authentication SERVICES (psa, jsa and so on). oh and if these authentication companies think your autograph is fake (non authentic) YOU DONT GET YOUR FEE BACK id really think it out before going that route

    See kellton29's Items on eBay

For in person autos, take a picture of the guy signing it and save your money. It costs alot to get it authenticated. I would only reccomend it if you have a highly valued item that you plan on selling.

As with anything it is all about what you want and how much faith you have in something. I am close to 20 HOF balls. I might eventually get 3 authenticated because they are really upper tier guys in my mind and I'd like that documented. The rest I believe are legit enough to be content with displaying them and not go that extra mile I am for those 3.

The only way you ever truely know is by getting it signed yourself by the player! Any so called authentication company is a best guess on if it is real or not. Yes, I heard the take a picture of the guy signing it thing, but understand that a picture of Manning signing a jersey does not mean that you are selling me the jersey he is signing! Spend the money on PSA if you truely want, but to me they charge too much to make an impartial guess as to if the sig is real!
