Worst... Break... Ever... Topps Updates and Highlights 2009
Probably just got the worst surprise ever in my latest box of Topps Updates.
As you all know, there's only one hit per box in this product.
So i reach the hit: Double Jersey, WBC, from 2 members of Team Japan. I collect all japanese players, so I thought to myself "Great, what an amazing pull". And it's #4/25!!
Only problem is... There are no f**king swatches embedded!!!!!!!! <the "holes" for the swatches are here, but there is no piece of jersey!!! ™™™!!!!
Does someone know how I can return this to Topps and claim a WBC double swatch numbered to 25 with... actually 2 swatches on the card?
Appart from that I got a Griffey Gold #d to 2009
Ring of honor Babe Ruth (with the Red Sox)
Turkey Red Babe Ruth
Gordon Beckham RC
Tommy Hanson RC
Nolan Ryan Base (Retired Base: Pictured in Angels kit)
Season Highlight: Konerko and Dye batting back-to-back HRs, each for their 300th. Black Border Nbrd to 58. Probably the only card of any value (maybe the Ryan...)
Gutted. SPx Football coming in the mail later this week, hope this will be better...

Talk about a brain freeze when they made that card. But yea, save the packs and box and call Topps customer service. They should be able to do something about it.

Ive been reading horror stories about this type of stuff. There are many cases where they send you a replacement card of simular value, but not the exact card.

Think I woulda dropped an F-bomb too lol. Same thing happened to me with a Babe Ruth Yankee Stadium Bunting relic from 08 Stadium Club that was missing the bunting material. Doofus me didn't even notice until I sold it and the other person told me about it when he got it in the mail. He sent the card back to me and I refunded him the money and I sent the Ruth to Topps and they did insert the material in the card and mailed it back to me. Hopefully you'll have the same luck.

i hate to hear that. topps has been great in replacing my cards. i hope they can do the same for you!
