Countdown...and beyond!
OK. I set a goal recently (well, probably a few months ago) for a collection since I knew the other goal for it that I had wasn't going to be obtainable. The new goal was to get to 450 different cards for my Jamie McMurray collection before the end of the year. The old goal was to get my wants for McMurray down to 100 or less before the end of the year. Probably not going to happen as my wants are closer to 200 than 100 at this moment and my pockets aren't deep. Anyways, I got these in the mail a few days ago for my collection:
449 (1 to go)
450 (I'm there!)
451 (It's one off of current door #; Now to set my sights on 475 or 500!)

Ive been chasing Jeff since '93 & still need cards from early '90s but thanks to this place ive added many from that period !!!

Thank you as well, Tom! Hopefully 475 will get here sooner than I know. :)
Well, the latest is that he is suppose to sign with EGR to drive the 1 car next year, and that an announcement could come as early as sometime after today's race. I for one am hoping that it does happen for a number of reasons (like McMurray reuniting with Ganassi and that I also collect a driver that use to drive the 1 car...Steve Park...and how cool would that be for my favorite driver to be in one of my favorite cars). However there is a report out there that also states that McMurray is out of the running for that ride. What happens happens, and as long as he is in Cup next year I'll be glad.

430 congrats! you could be a dual supercollector, i don't think i've seen anyone on here like that?

Thanks! As for the super collector, there are some that are dual on here. Just not many that I have noticed. I actually tried shortly after getting the one for baseball to get one for racing, but sadly my McMurray collection didn't meet with the guidelines and got rejected. It hasn't been able to change much since then, and I've been fine with it being rejected. I consider myself to be a super collector of the people anyways when it comes to racing, and that means more to me than any badge or recognition for it could bring.
