hrashers extend center Peverley's contract
ATLANTA (Reuters) - Prolific scoring center Rich Peverley has signed a multiple-year contract extension with the Atlanta Thrashers, the team said on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Peverley, who joined Atlanta from Nashville as a free agent in January, has registered four goals and three assists in five games this season and scored two game-winning goals in the team's 4-1 start.
