Should there be 2 seperate Trade areas?

Should there be 2 seperate areas for trades in all sports. By this I mean One for SV trades and the other for BV trades? It seems that this would save some time as you can go to a section you want to trade in and not bother the others.

Yeah, if only for the pure entertainment of seeing which people try to jump back and forth to use whichever value helps them more ;-)

I see everyone complain they can't make trades, but I've got over 120 in the past six months and ten this week, and I use bv. Just have to give up nice stuff to get nice stuff. I think you weed out which posts you know you aren't going to really vibe with anyway, no need for two forums.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

"book value is completely meaningless! I have quite a few cards that book for a lot but sell for nothing. I have a Delmon Young Bowman Chrome refractor auto RC that books for $250 but I can't find anyone willing to pay me $75 for it, and I live in Minnesota!

Well i voted yes but thats because of the way some of the sv traders decide to get values. If there was a predetermined method to determining sv then i would be more willing to use it. But since it pretty much a crap shoot with it being about 50/50 between honest sv traders and those who manipulate the number to try to screw traders over.
So until theres a universal method for determining sv ill continue to use an average of ebay sales (actual sales, not just completed listings most of which didn't sell) and bv. I use every single completed(green) sale and get the average price and then take that add it to the bv and divide in half and thats what value i use. I understand people say ebay is a real representation of value but its got too many variants that can affect a value. If every same card was listed with the exact same description and title, i might be more inclined to go solely off of ebay sales for sv, but until that happens i'll continue to use my method, as when i want to trade i've had no problems using it and if i run into someone who doesn't like it i just move on. But trading would run alot more smoothly if there were 2 seperate forums, or even if everyone had to put what they trade by in their sigs.

I like that idea of putting what method they use in their sigs.

While I think BV is fairly useless, I voted no. There are many times when those who use BV are able to trade with those who rely on SV. Just because people have different pricing principles doesn't mean they can't come to some kind of middle ground.
