Richter to Receive Lester Patrick Award

Mike Richter, who will receive the Lester Patrick Award for outstanding service to hockey in the United States on Wednesday, was always the talkative, brainy guy during his 14 seasons as a goalie for the Rangers, the player who had to be pulled away from reporters because he was holding up the team bus, the Ranger who read voraciously on trips.
