Shrimp by a mile; I eat it almost every day. I eat shrimp the way most women eat chocolate and men eat beef. I am a veritable shrimpaholic.

LOL @ me thinking moose was some readily available meat that you could sub for chicken at Chili's or something.

Also, I would really hate to be a part of a moose hunting party and be asleep or going to the bathroom when the party bags our once-in-a-lifetime moose.

LOL...I don't know of any major restaurants that serve it...I'm sure that some of the locally owned places do, but I've never seen moose available at an Applebee's, or a chain restaurant like that. Yeah, that would suck too...be awakened to hear "WE GOT IT!"...lol

Has anyone ever had kalamari? I had it one time at a family-member's home, and it's not that it had a bad taste, but I will never eat it again...the texture of it is just...odd.

It's a toss up between beef and chicken, but I'm going with chicken.

Kalamari is fried squid and is goooooooooooooooood! I assume when you refer to the texture you are saying that it was chewy, which if that is the case it wasn't properly prepared. Squid is chewy and can be eaten that way but if it's properly prepared it will melt in your mouth! I make my own sometimes and serve it with a Tequila lime mayo dipping sauce!!

    Love it!!

edited: I see people talking about moose. I've never had it myself but I have eaten Buffalo Prime Rib. A little gamey tasting but very good!!

No one has mentioned bison yet...buffalo burgers are fantastic and much leaner meat than beef.

Ah, ok...well, the people I had it with are really gourmet cooks, so maybe it wasn't true kalamari...all I know was that it was chewy...almost rubbery...and it was odd eating the legs...I think that's what made me say "never again"...lol

My mom ate bison years ago...before I was around...she said it was good...there's a bison farm nearby here...wonder if there's bison burgers at any of the local restaurants...I'd like to try it sometime.

Not sure if they do it nationwide, but Ruby Tuesdays used to have a bison burger...wasn't as good as the ones I had out in Wyoming, but still pretty tasty.
