Kings sign Quick, Drewiske to 3-year extensions
The Los Angeles Kings solidified their goaltending and defense Friday, signing goalie Jonathan Quick and defenseman Davis Drewiske to three-year contract extensions.
Quick, 23, has started nine of Los Angeles' first 10 games this season and is entering his third NHL season. Quick is tied for second in the NHL with 6 victories and is third in minutes played at 538:53 and is seventh in saves with 225. He has a 3.01 goals-against average and .893 save percentage.
Drewiske, 24, is in his second NHL season and has played in all 10 Kings' games to date, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists and a team leading plus-6.

Drewiske is a solid D-man...silent but can shut down top lines....wont score a lot but will definitely play good D....I like the signing
Quick started out REALLY BAD!!!! Stunk it up the first couple games but has been back to his last season performance the last 5 games....

drewiske will hopefully take o'donnell's spot when he retires at the end of the year. that will make room for hickey. pretty good top 6 next year
