Psa/dna
I usually just try to get autos in person but some players are hard to get. Is there anyway that a PSA/DNA autographed baseball can be a fake. I found that some baseball prices listed on ebay are lower than what the athletes charge. My question is what should i do , Buy PSA/DNA baseballs on Ebay or ship to athletes houses and pay more.
Thanks for your time

yes any Psa/Dna, GAI, JSA autos can be fake, JSA got caught authenticating fake autographs, they only spend a few seconds on an item and conclude wether its real or fake, its up to u, do u think its real

The only true way you will ever know if it is real is to see it signed yourself!

i have to agree with biggums7! any of the companies mentioned below can be a Fake all you are paying these companies for are there OPINION and you know what every person alive has one of them. you can actually do your own homework and check items that have been signed in person and see if they match yours (if you didnt actually see yours sign inperson) and the sad thing about those companies and the people who have fake autos that were told by these companies were AUTHENTIC are not going to be Getting ANY FEES they paid them back (STATES IT RIGHT IN THERE SMALL PRINT on there websites) ever since i saw that i have decided not to send into authentication companies just seems kind of shady to me but thats my opinion. i think if the item in question fales authentication they should REFUND THE FEE (and not just autographs either!) and if the item they authenticate as REAL is found to actually be a FAKE they should also refund any fees paid!

Why should they refund your money if they deem your auto not authentic? You're paying for the process and their opinion not some rubber stamp on anything you send them. The fact they keep the fee lends a little bit more credibility to their work in my mind.

Well in my mind, u should only pay a little fee to send it in, and if it passes then pay what they want, i have never trusted any authenticator, its just their opinion, i have seen and had one of my in person autographs come back fake, while fakes be deemed real. The only true way to know it real is get it in person. And if u cant get 1 ip, then buy from Steiner or Mounted Memories, your pretty much paying the same to authenticate it.

im gald we can all agree to disagree we all have our opinions and they all count. i have to agree with biggums7 again i think you should pay like maybe $5 at the most upfront, if the authentication company finds the item to be Authentic i can see paying more and then they return your item, if its deemed Fake then they keep the $5 and return your item thats that. i also know people whos items that were Signed In Person came back Fake they then sent in a known fake to see what would happen and it came back Authentic! So all those PSA/DNA, JSA and so forth items you may be purchasing May Actually Be FAKES. again we all have our opinions and if you have the money to waste on these authentication companies to do what you could do with just a bit of online research more power to you.

I have a Muhammad Ali autograph from the 70's that my grandfather gave to me. I was thinking about sending it in to get authenticated. But hearing everyones opinion, I might not now....LOL
