    Official 2009-10 Minnesota Timberwolves thread

This thread is for any and all talk in relation to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2009-10 season.

First game of the season is Wednesday night at home against the Nets. Al Jefferson is expected to play, even those his Achilles' tendon is still bothering him, and he was suffering flu-like symptoms late last week, whereas Kevin Love is expected to be out until sometime in December.

Corey Brewer and Jonny Flynn looked really good in the preseason. But they'll need Big Al and Kevin Love to stay healthy for much needed defense and inside presence. Oleksiy Pecherov and Nathan Jawai won't cut it if they are looking to improve from last season.

Hmm not as many people on the wolves board. Corey Brewer has been very good in the preseason, hopefully he can keep it up!! He was a high draft pick!

Hopefully they do better, I'm sick of the same old teams dominating the West, let alone the rest of the league.

I think we are overall improved over last season, but how that translates onto the court is yet to be seen...getting a little momentum at the end of the preseason with back-to-back wins was nice though.

Season starts tonight at home against the Nets...I think we should win this game, considering the Nets are not looking too good.

Ugh, we trail by 12 at halftime to the lowly Nets...Damien Wilkins, of all players, leads us in scoring AND rebounds...where's Big Al? (not a real question ;-)

WHOA-HO-HO! What a finish! 95-93 win for the Wolves on a Damien Wilkins buzzer-beater, coming back from 19 down earlier in the game! Wow!

How is Sasha treating you guys? I've been meaning to keep up with him, I am one of the few people that liked him in Cleveland.
