Inscriptions
Yesterday I received a success from Gary Carter c/o The Gary Carter Foundation. It was just his signature(a great looking sig) since I was only willing to shell out the $25 for an auto and not $15 for any kind of inscription. What I also received however was a preprinted autocard that had Carter's signature and an inscription of some bible verse I have little interest in other than the fact it got me thinking.
With so many possible inscriptions I am curious as to what people may request athletes to inscribe under their name or if you even ask at all. I know myself since I collect baseball HOF signed balls I try and get the old school "HOF YEAR" inscription. A couple of times like with Carter or a Cepeda I picked up I have just the sig or in the case of Carlton Fisk as I huge Red Sox fan I asked him to inscribe it "#27".
So what do you ask for(if you do) when it comes to inscriptions?

Any of the 80 and 08 WS Champs I ask them to sign just that. Pretty much whatever makes them special to me is what I ask for in an inscription but at the same time I do ask for a few HOF's as well. All a matter of preference. Good Luck! Go Phils!!!!!!!!

Whether it's TTM or IP, sometimes I ask for the players to include their nicknames, HOF enshrined year, or year they won a championship title as inscriptions. I find the Bible verses to be pretty cool as well, for those that add those along with their autographs.
