What do you guys think about this?

I saw this idea on another web site and decided I'd try it out. What do you think?

Honestly I think it is stupid, and I will say why. The Hall of Fame is an honor for a select group of players and you do need to be cheapening it by making up "fake" HOF plaques for guys who will only get in there with a ticket. It's a jinx and just a poor idea.

ya, it's not very smart. its a cool idea thugh. but.....it would be better if you made one of someone who actually has a decent chance to make it to cooperstown.

Lastings Milledge is a mockery to the hall of fame. Make one for like bob doerr or duke snider. Somebody who is actually worthy.

Since I have started collecting HOF baseballs one of the things I've done is buy a big poster frame and for every ball I have I place that persons plaque card(I live only a couple hours from Cooperstown so stocking up hasn't been an issue) in the frame. It is like my own mini HOF.
The cool thing about the plaques is they are immortal(for the most part). What they say at the time of induction stays forever(again, for the most part). I think its misguided to make a custom of such a legendary scene as a HOF plaque and then make somebody of Milledge's caliber a member of the 3K hit club.
I think it is less misguided if you want to keep the HOF theme to dump the fake bio and teams along with the yellow Cooperstown labeled border and had a HOF plaque blank with a pic and instead of the bio make a white space for a signature.

You can turn it into a Hall of Shame card.
