    01-02 Rookie Crop

Which cards do you feel are the rookie cards to buy for the future from the 01-02 rookie crop?

There are a lot of very youngs kids and also quite a bit of foriegn players.

Please post the player and cards you think are the ones to get.

I ask because I'm really somewhat lost on last years rookies. I'm not sure who I would get but I believe I would want to pick up one of those UD ultimate auto rookies if I could find a good deal off ebay. :D

    E-topps:

    T.Murphy 545pr.@$19;T.Parker 2165pr.@$8-9;J.Rich 1689 pr.@$14;P.Gasol 2262 pr. @ $9 ; E.Curry 894 pr. @ $10

These are the ones I've stocked up on with a few more, but thier soph. stats are a little weaker than who I've listed.

I have a sp authentic j rich rc jsy #'d /1275 which I bought on ebay because I think he'll be very good. Other players to get are tony parker, troy murphy, jamaal tinsley, and definitely gilbert arenas (might be an all-star this year)

BGray, I recently broke a box of 01-02 Topps Chrome Basketball, and the rookie class from this set is underrated in my opinion. I like both young Bulls stars: Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. Also, Tony Parker could be a star for the next 10 years playing alongside Tim Duncan, and Richard Jefferson is starting to break out this year. Also, Pau Gasol is a top talent, but doesn't get much respect outside of his local fans. Jamaal Tinsley was just benched in Indiana, so who knows where his career is headed.

I like the basic Topps Chrome RC's myself, I know there are better auto RC's out there, but I generally stick with Chrome.

well invested in richardson by getting 2 of his ultimate rc #/250 autos and also tinsley #/25 rookie patch(but that was a major disappointment).

tony parker is good but to be honest i don't think his cards will ever be popular like the richardson was and i guess still is?

    from the above list

the best choice is Tony Parker -- as long as he and Tim Duncan stay together and healthy, they are the #2 choice to win NBA titles, behind Shaq and Kobe

Not sure about Paul Gasol -- nice shooter, but just too lean to out-muscle the big guys.

I would have said Tinsley, but he isn't getting the playing time now.

One guy who's underrated in my opinion is Kirilenko for the Jazz. He's playing great for them this year, and has been since he first entered the league. Tony Parker is great too and I expect that to continue.
