Berlinski is a man who makes his living by lying, just like every last one of the "intelligent design scholars" of his ilk. They know full well that what they are saying is not the truth, but they do not care because lying makes them money and they do not value honesty. Furthermore, Berlinski has proven over and over that he knows nothing about evolution, with such delightful quotes as "How are you going to teach that cow to turn into a whale?"

This is nothing more than a further playing of the Evil Atheist Evolution Conspiracy card, like Ben Stein did with his brain-melting schlockumentary "Expelled." It amounts to absolutely nothing more than dishonest, self-serving and megalomaniacal creationists whining about how the scientific community won't recognize their unsupported and unsupportable religion as science, taking their word on faith, without asking for evidence and without uttering so much as a syllable in protest, like their brainwashed flocks of sheep do. Guess what, creationists: if you want to claim there's a scientific aspect to your religion, you have to demonstrate it. Nobody owes you recognition, respect, or anything, and your actions have quite rightly earned you the scorn, contempt and exclusion you get.

Real science doesn't comment on the supernatural. If you don't like it, too bad. Science is not a democracy, it is a meritocracy. If you can't support your ideas with evidence, nobody has to listen to you and nobody will listen to you. If you demand that your ideas be taken on faith and have nothing more to defend yourself with "YOU CAN'T PROVE I'M WRONG!" then you're just a fool who knows nothing about the community he's trying to undeservedly wheedle his way into. Science studies the natural world, and your god-creatures and devil-creatures and all that other stuff you made up in order to excuse yourselves from responsibility for your crimes are not within the domain of science. "The Devil's Delusion": if you don't worship every word that comes out of David Berlinski's mouth and give David Berlinski every cent you own, a boogeyman is gonna come getcha! Real scientific there.

We don't have to. You have to prove it does exist. Hey, Berlinski...can you provide proof that you're not a murderer?

Have the sciences explained why our universe seems to be fine-tuned to allow for the existence of life?

So then, you consider a universe of which only a googolplexth of a googolplexth of a googolplexth of a percentage of which is able to support life to be "fine-tuned to allow for the existence of life"?

Are physicists and biologists willing to believe in anything so long as it is not religious thought?

Does anything in the sciences or in their philosophy justify the claim that religious belief is irrational?

You think it's rational to just take the word of a bunch of ignorant, primitive, barbaric, superstitious and bloodthirsty goat herders who lived 2000 years ago, who thought the earth was flat and that corn spontaneously generated rats out of nothingness...on faith...without question, without consideration, without thought, without hesitation, such that you'll do anything and everything you are ordered to do by a bunch of ethically questionable men in robes who proclaim themselves the vanguards of said goat herders' words? where have you been duane? Its been like this since i first got here. I have to stop coming to the p&r now because i am one infraction away from being banned forever. Its maddening. I keep getting infractions because i react to the typical lowball liberal tactics. All they do is attack people. I guess its just never going to change. I dont know why i think winning an argument with facts or proving someone wrong is going to change the way they are. It wont. Im just tired of it.

So the notion of existence of deity proceededthe notion of his inexistence? How that makes sense is beyond me? Responsibility is contingent on whomever introduced the idea of existance and therefore the notion of existence precedes the notion of inexistance. In order for an idea to be criticized, it must first be formulated: 15th century men cannot argue Mac v. PC without the idea coming to light (or in the example's case, tangible machines).
