Question: first pack-pulled Michael Jordan autographed card
Hi,
Not a basketball collector here, but i am an auto collector. I am looking to pick up a jordan auto. hopefully the first one that's ever available in pack.
Which card is the first ever Jordan auto card inserted in NBA licensed packs?
If someone could post a pic, that would be great.. and need year/brand/etc.... thanks!
If it's extremely limited, what's my best option for an early autograph? What price range should I be looking to pay?

Here are some of his non-redemption/non-buyback autographs that were first issued in packs in 1996-97 (Not Mine)
From 96-97 SP

from 1997 SPX

from 96-97 UD3

His first auto/jersey from 97-98 Upper Deck packs

However, his first official autograph was released in 1994 and it looks like this:

Hope this helps!

Yep that's the one. And your looking at a price tag of around $3k for that.

ouch for the baseball auto... both the fact that it's a baseball card and the price tag. thank you for the helps.
a couple more questions:
were the early (basketball) autos inserted in packs also accompanied with a separate certification card and had hologram stickers at the back?
Or do they have the standard "congratulations, you received an auto personally..." message from UD at the back?
what price tag am i looking at for his UD3 auto?
