You have all seen the card I'm talking about, now I need some opinions...

    UPDATE:

The guy sold it for $1500, which was WAY out of my range. He sold it for $1000 plus $500 sale value of cards. I had about $1500 sale value and $100, so it was pretty easy for him to pick the other guy. Oh well.

    It really depends.

I don't know what you have for trade. I can't the other guy taking under $1200 in BV unless you've got a single card he thinks he could sell for more than the Sheild.

If you've got 4 or 5 cards that group together for a SALE value of $800+ though (I'd guess BV would be close to double that) maybe it works.

If he wants $1500 as you said, then he probably wont be interested in anything close to the 1500 bv option you have. $1500 cash is probably equal to 2500 bv. You should also keep in mind that if you are expecting him to trade down, youre gonna have to give up even more than that.

I don't think book value is the question. It's how much you are willijng to give up for the card in question.

I wouldn't give up very much because I dontthink he has much if a future. But in the end it is totally up to you and the owner to come to an agreement

    I third that.
If you want that very nice card so much, then go after it.

How can you say that about a 19 year old who has displayed tremendous poise and talent playing on a subpar team? Have you even seen the kid play?
