Trading/Shipping Issues forthcoming from the US to International locations
This is a heads up for anyone that uses the Green Customs form to send packages from the US to any International locations. On my latest visit to the Post Office today, I was advised that the form 2976 (Green Form) will need to be filled out online.
Because of this, there will be more tracking done on these forms.
I bring this up because most of us probably use Gift and a dollar amount under $20. Since this will start to be tracked, it probably will set of Red Flags if you send everything as a gift.
Just an FYI

im waiting on lots of packages from the states right now from ebay and trades seems way slower than usual anyone else the same????

same here i got about 20 parcels from the states to canada and they are way behind and friday not a good mail day up here as i might get a parcel and no mail on sat up here i have to wait for monday all the time

what should trades be marked after the change? nothing else really applies.

You still don't need the form if it's under 16 oz. though. I always use stamps. Obviously, if it's a high-end item I wouldn't do that, I would go Priority Mail International.

I noticed that too. I won on ebay, and paid for a Hasek Buffalo Sabres Jersey on October 11th. Still nothing today, November 6th. So the parcel is moving slower than 2.5 km/hr.
When the new form becomes mandatory, I guess we'll buy locally.

I've noticed, as well, that packaged from the states have been taking longer than usual. It's to bad, but I now look to trade within Canada whenever possible. The shipping cost on a regular bubble mailer has never been the deterent, but the added shipping time is just one more thing to make me think twice. This is really to bad because I have no problems trading south of the border otherwise and had no more problems with trading partners there than here, in Canada. Having said all that, I've noticed that more than half my recent trades have been to the USA. lol

I do alot of trades worldwide, the pkges have been really slow from the US and Europe, I've sent out pkges and they got mine over a week ago and I've received nothing from the US and Europe, I try to do all my trades over a 100.00, it saves on SH, so I would have to assume, I will try to do as much trading in Canada as possible.
