Man ya'll got it all messed up. Here is my list.
1. Babe Ruth - Everybody should make this so obvious. Can pitch and hit. And was dominate on both. How rare was that? He was just as good of a pitcher as hitter.
2. Barry Bonds - Greatest hitter of his era. McGwire and Griffey won't come close. No one in the game has feared a hitter as they did Bonds. At least they pitched to Mays, Aaron, Mantle, and Teddy Ballgame.
3. Rickey Henderson - Everybody must think I'm crazy? Well look at his stats. Then we'll talk. How can you walk that much and still get 3000 hits? How can you hit homeruns like that and steal bases...in a rate...never seen before? Made pitchers go deep into counts. Wore down pitchers for the 3-4 hitters of the lineup. Then messed up pitchers head when he was on base because he was a threat to steal everytime he was on base. Ask Carney Lansford, Mark McGwire, and Jose Canseco...about who was the TRUE MVP of those Championship teams.
