    Johnson scare hits home

Judy Johnson had the worst seat in the house. When her son lost balance and went crashing into the endboards on Oct. 27 against Detroit at GM Place -- losing consciousness and suffering a concussion when his neck and shoulders absorbed the sickening blow -- you could hear a pin drop.

Imagine what Ryan Johnson's mother was thinking when she witnessed the horrific scene live.

it doesn't even look like he went head first if u pause it as soon as he hits the boards it's his back but as he crahsed into the boards his head must of jerked back and hit the boards or something. that looked painful. did u see andy mcdonald samething pretty much happened to him aswell this year i believe it was not sure though. but still thats pretty painful. his mom must be horrified

That why some parents won't watch their kids play for fear of injury. I cannot imagine what would be going on if your son or daughter had something like this happen. Glad to see him be back in the lineup.
