Yes, but after I did that the doctors told me not to do that yet. And not to have a stick in my hands.
How do you feel about this all?
I think that it shouldn't be rushed. November has just begun. I need to heal up 100 percent and then play. There is no need to risk right now.

Q. So whats the REAL reason you are not playing???
OVECHKIN: Well, I wanted to give the rest of the NHL a chance to get some points. Let them think they have a chance at winning the scoring race. That, and I want to be fair to Malkin, so he doesnt think HE is actually better than me. When I come back I will score a bunch of points and still win the race....Have a Nice Day
