How should I handle my collection ...

I'm going out of town for business for about two weeks, but when I returned I'm getting into this trading thing big time!

I have probably four or five 5,000-count boxes full of base, insert and rookie cards (mostly football and basketball). Nothing of super high value.

What I was planning to do was sort them all into teams, and work from there, including college teams.

My questions are:

Is it worth my time as most of it is base?
Should I offer up team lots, or pull out the Mannings, Favres, Bradys, etc., and try to trade the player lots?
Will these lots sell on Ebay? Player and team?
Would taking out the players in their college uniforms be a good idea for trading?

Just trying to figure out how to make some trades or $$$$ for more cards.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Quick thoughts:

1. Definitely sort it. It probably doesn't matter how, but you will actually see what you have which will be useful.

2. If you think you have enough college uniform cards to make a team lot that way, go for it. Otherwise, don't bother separating them.

3. I think you will have to get creative to move out the stuff you don't want....if it is base, inserts, and rookies.
