2004 Ultra Football Question
I bought at few of these packs at a local store. I decided to try to put the set together. I have traded for almost all of the base cards. I had a guy tell me about the Lucky 13 cards. Is this right? He told me that there are 2 different versions. Hobby set has #201 - 213 that has Lucky 13 stamped on them, but there are retail cards of #201-213 that do not have the Lucky 13 stamped on them. If so, which do I collect for my set? If I went to a store and bought the set, which ones would I get?

If you want to go for the hobby version go for the stamped (#/500) ones. If you want to go for the retail go for the unstamped (unnumbered) ones. Or both. As far as I know there is no difference between hobby or retail when it comes to the base veteran cards.

The ones he is saying would probly be the gold medallion.
The gold medallion are a lot easier to get then the regular ones but for the set I would go for the regular ones

He is telling me that the regular ones are just #201-213. They do not say Lucky 13 on them. Are there actually these cards out there? I had a guy trying to trade me an Eli Manning from that set, but said it was not the Lucky 13, but it was not the Gold Medallion either.

The Lucky 13's that are serial numbered out of 500 are the base cards for the Hobby version. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Here's how it works, as everyone says there are the base #d/500 and the gold medallions which are much more prevalent. Both of these have "Lucky 13" on the front. There are some cards that don't have "Lucky 13" on the front and aren't #d. Not sure exactly where they come from, possibly with the miniature Hummers being sold. As far as I know this version is worth the least by far.
