    12 Comics Who Aren't Funny

    12 Comics Who Aren't Funny

...by Newsweek, so take it with a grain of salt, but pretty on point I thought. The link is a slideshow, but I like to save people the trouble of going through that if I can, so here's the list (and a few things I wanted to point out).

    Larry the Cable Guy

    Carlos Mencia (amen!)

    Howie Mandel

Dane Cook - FTA: "While Cook isn't inherently unfunny, and actually has some very good material, he's suffered from spreading himself too thin..." Amen...if he was a guy who only did comedy clubs and didn't have the mass success, he would be much more well received by a lot of people.

    Gallagher

    Andrew Dice Clay

Emo Phillips (I haven't heard a whole lot of this guy, but I actually thought he was quite funny)

    Jay Leno (amen!)

    Jeff Dunham

    Pauly Shore

Carrot Top (unfunny and scary looking)

    Yakov Smirnoff

I agree with the entire list with the exception of some of Dane Cook's comedy.

i agree with what you said about dane. I remember seeing his comedy central presents when it first came out and i thought that was hilarious but i dont like how he is doin the whole mass appeal thing with the big stages and such but he is makin mad money tho lol. And i like Jeff Dunham but some of his stuff is repetitive.

The only ones I really care for at all on that list are Cook, Phillips, and Dunham...and none of those are favorites. Dane's first couple of specials were good, but now, as the article pointed out, he seems more worried about coining the next frat boy catch phrase.

As for the mass appeal, I actually meant more people dislike him for the simple fact that he's wildly popular than for his actual comedy...they'll never admit it, but they choose not to like him rather than give him a chance. And maybe I stick up for him more because I liked him before he was wildly popular, maybe I would do the same thing if I found out about him after he was already getting huge, who knows. I remember telling all my friends about him and only one of them even remotely knew anything about him. Try doing that now.

This list is pretty accurate. Dane Cook's old stuff is pretty good and Dunham the first half of the show, the first time you see him is pretty good but that's about it for these guys

    Amen to Dane Cook.

I also want to say Jimmy Fallon isn't very funny as of now doing the late night show. You can tell when the audience didn't buy into some of the jokes he made and it becomes kinda lame.

I like Jeff Dunham. I will agree with the rest of the list though.
