    Rant...complaint...general unhappiness!!!

I had shoulder surgery last Friday...3 full tendon tears fixed, part of my clavicle removed and a bicep tear as well...it sucks!!! The recovery time is 6-9 months and I'm not able to use my arm at all for 10 weeks! I'm sick of it already...tired of being in the house and getting a little stir crazy!

On top of it all it is my right arm...and, you guessed it, I'm right handed! The doctor won't let me drive either.

At least my girlfriend has been taking excellent care of me...and a plus is she helps me shower ;)

Anyone else had surgery like this? The Dr. said it is not a common injury for a person in my age group but usually reserved for people much older.

I had Knee surgery on September 28th. I didn't leave my house for about 3 weeks, heck I didn't even go down stairs for 2 weeks. Good luck on your recovery!

I wish I had one! lol!

Thanks for all the nice comments...I hired a personal trainer to work with my physical therapist once I'm able to start really using the shoulder...I hope to shorten the recovery time without compromising the 4 repairs!

Totally feel for you as your young and I am old and I know too well what injuries feel like. Had a few surgeries but nothing this extensive. Let the family or g/f take care of you. As for driving been there done that for a few months in the past. I didn't have a g/f at the time and met a few folks who would pick me up and take me to hockey games LOL. Talk about road trips as I paid for it just to get out of the house.
