Base cards
What would be the best way to get rid of base cards with out giving them away. I've got hundreds and hundreds of base cards from the early 90's from different sets (OPC premier, Pro Set, Score, Upper Deck, Ultra) and I've been wanting to liquidate all these at once. Is there a market for these cards or you have to look for people wanting to complete sets and liquidate little by little.
Is there places that by these at good value, or they give you has little has possible.
I've been out of the hobby for long time and just wondering were to start.

I had this problem a last January. My solution was to heat the house.
I burned 'em all.
I felt bad at first but then I came to my senses. The cards I burned (90-91/91-92 pro-set, 90-91 Score, 92-93 score) were cards that nobody wanted. I figured I'd make them somewhat valuable by bringing down the heating bill a tad. Plus, it cleared up a lot of room in the basement.

from what it sounds like you have i wish you luck getting decent value back in return. cards in the early 90`s were massively over produced and are not really worth the card board that they are printed on.

If you are in the Toronto area you could do what i did. Billdogin was taking donations to make up grab bags give to the Kids at sick kids hospital.
Didn't get any cards or money back from them but got the satisfaction of possibly brightening some kids day and maybe even laying the ground work for some future trading partners.

That what it thought. Most of the early 90's stuff was over produced and has no value at all.
Thanks for confirming this for me!

If you ever set up a table at a show, you could package them off in team bags as grab bags. Though I wouldn't sell them for more than .25, and I would at least have 25 cards in them.
Kids usually come through and gobble them up.Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd
